Founded in 2020 and based in Amsterdam, CerQlar offers a SaaS platform that allows market participants to streamline their business around guarantees of origin (GoO). A guarantee of origin is a piece of evidence used to prove the origin of sustainably produced energy. The company is on a mission to set a new technological standard to enable EAC (Energy Attribute Certificate) markets to continue to meet increasingly complex customer requirements. The CerQlar platform provides users with a clear overview of their GoO inventory. Various tools and features allow market participants to make informed decisions, reduce operational errors, and thus save costs.
Time for a professional, responsible partner
Anton Federov is Head of Development at CerQlar. He was employee number 3 in 2020 and has seen the company grow substantially in the years since to about 40 employees. Many issues related to workplace management landed on Anton’s plate, taking up more and more of his time. “We started looking for a partner to manage our infrastructure because our startup was growing rapidly and doing everything ourselves quickly became impossible and distracted too much from the business. We needed a professional, responsible partner to help us,” Anton said.

Root3 has since rolled out Apple Managed Services at CerQlar, and 90% of the operational issues related to laptops, Google Cloud and onboarding activities are done exclusively by Root3. “One of the main benefits of working with Root3 is that we have been able to delegate our workplace-related IT issues and therefore focus on our business.”

Ideally, in the future, he would also entrust security issues and other (non-Apple) environment management to Root3.
