Maarten Hitman, Owner and Physician, De Nieuwe Arts

De Nieuwe Arts is a young occupational health service organization that supports employers in sickness absence guidance and provides professional advice on sickness prevention and vitality. Over the past few years, the organization, which places a strong emphasis on job satisfaction and the development of its physicians, has experienced continuous growth. As a result, there was a need for a workspace management service. De Nieuwe Arts turned to Root3 and has been using Apple Managed Services since April 2021, a comprehensive package for management, support, and consultation.

Maarten Hitman, owner and physician, founded De Nieuwe Arts (formerly known as Ziektewetloket) in 2017. As of mid-2021, the organization employs 32 physicians and 8 supporting staff members. In the early days, Maarten handled all aspects of workspace management himself but realized that it was time for assistance. “As a small company, you initially do everything yourself, but at some point, it becomes too time-consuming. Furthermore, as an occupational health service provider, you need to have your software and hardware in good order to ensure secure compliance with regulations. Root3 now takes care of all that, as it is their expertise.”

De Nieuwe Arts turned to Root3, which implemented Apple Managed Services in the organization. According to Maarten, this has several advantages: “The major benefit is that it is no longer my responsibility, and I can delegate it to HR. Growth Ambitions What are Maarten’s ambitions for De Nieuwe Arts?

“We aim to continue growing by 10 employees each year, approximately 8 physicians and 2 supporting staff members. During this growth, it’s crucial for me to maintain our current culture, and I will do everything I can to achieve that, even though it can be challenging at times. However, no matter how large we become, Root3 can easily adapt to our scale due to the scalability of Apple Managed Services.”
